Karen Zeltzer has been providing individual and group treatment, clinical supervision, trainings, consultations, and program administration in hospitals and community-based mental health/substance abuse programs for over 20 years.
Karen is currently a Lecturer at California State University, East Bay, in the Master of Social Work Department. She has also taught courses in John F. Kennedy University's College of Graduate and Professional Studies and S.F. State's MSW program. Karen is an instructor for Alameda County's CIT program, teaching crisis deescalation to police, dispatch and sheriff officers. In addition, Karen provides contracted clinical services and staff development trainings to the Alameda Housing Authority.
Karen's clinical specialties include Addiction, Domestic Abuse, Trauma, and Anger Management. She is skilled in addressing issues of Depression, Anxiety and Self-Esteem.
Karen is an active community volunteer and sits on the Board of Directors of the Alameda Food Bank.
